A market in transition.

Japan is adding solar and wind to its grid at pace, but transmission and integration constraints are struggling to keep up.

At the same time, policy is shifting away from fixed feed-in tariffs toward market-based mechanisms, including feed-in premiums, long-term decarbonisation auctions, and corporate power purchase agreements, changing how renewable and storage projects get financed.

That shift is opening up a new wave of investment across renewables, storage, and decarbonised thermal generation.

Endgame Analytics brings clients in Japan the same rigorous modelling and forecasting capability that underpins our Australian work, paired with direct, one-on-one engagement so our analysis stays grounded in each client’s specific position in the market.

Help shape our Japan price projection model

Endgame Analytics is developing a price projection model purpose-built for the Japanese electricity market, and we’re inviting a small number of clients to participate in a Japan Multi-Client Study. Over an initial three-month development period, participating clients review model outputs and share feedback directly with our team, helping ensure the final model reflects the realities of Japan’s market as it evolves.
